Martina Coles Two Women Takes To The Stage

Martina Coles Two Women Takes To The Stage

Yes it’s true, for the first time a Martina Cole novel has been adapted for the stage.

I was contacted by Dan at Theatre Royal Stratford East who alerted me to this new play opening next Spring. Tickets are on sale today!

The play will open on the 19th February and run through to 27th March 2010 with curtain up at 7.30pm. Matinees available on the 13th & 27th March 2010 at 2pm.

As Martina Cole fans will know Two Women tells the story of Sue Dalston, her hard upbringing, violent husband and her love for her children. It is a powerful novel and will be very interesting to see the story translated for the stage.

Will this set a new trend for Martina Cole novels? If so then we will be in for a treat as there are now sixteen published novels with the recent release of Hard Girls.

It is great to see the characters of Martina Cole novels come to life. So far we have seen The Jump, Dangerous Lady and the recent The Take make it to the small screen. This play will bring more of the characters to life.

If you can make it to this play next year then please come back and give a review!
